Headers Modifier

Web filter for Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG) that is used to automatically modify web request headers passing through ISA Server (Forefront TMG).

Some administrators encounter rather difficult and specific tasks. For example, some of them may need to modify HTTP request headers. This problem often emerges in case there is a need to closely integrate several web applications used in the company into a single working system. Some of these applications that extensively use the HTTP protocol may run not quite correctly because ISA Server (Forefront TMG) modifies the headers of all requests passing through it.

Headers Modifier is a special web filter that is built into Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG). It allows you to delete unnecessary headers, add new ones or modify existing ones according to strictly defined rules in all steps a request passes through.

After the quick and easy installation of the program, you will instantly be able to define header modification rules.

There are 4 types of headers you can modify:

1. Raw request headers are headers received from the client, but not yet processed by Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG). These headers come from the client browser to ISA Server (Forefront TMG).
2. Processed request headers are headers received from the client and processed by Microsoft ISA Server (Forefront TMG). These headers are passed to the remote web server that will process the request.
3. Raw response headers are headers received from the remote web server and not yet processed by ISA Server (Forefront TMG).
4. Processed response headers are headers processed by ISA Server (Forefront TMG) and sent to the client browser.

In each of these steps there is a separate set of data that can be taken into account while determining the conditions of modification rules. For example, the program allows you to define modifications rules depending on such parameters as: username, the user's IP address, the user's computer name, the URL of the visited site, the rules of the user who granted access to this site and much more.

The program works with Microsoft ISA Server 2004/2006/Forefront TMG. Both Standard Edition and Enterprise Edition (requires installation on all array members) are supported. Besides, it is possible to separately install the administration console and server components. The program works in both Forward Proxy and Reverse Proxy modes.
