GateKeeper Logon

When GateKeeper is run, you will be asked to log in. The GateKeeper Logon dialog prompts for User and Server details.

In the Password field we display a two character password – you will need to make this blank in order to log in for the first time.

  • Use current Windows login

This option is only available if you are using the Operating System(Windows) Database option on the server. Enabling this option allows you to logon automatically, as Wingate will use your current Windows/NT username and password login details.

  • Log on to local machine:

If this option is enabled, logon will be to localhost. (i.e. Logging on at the actual WinGate server GateKeeper)

Use these details next time to login directly
If you select this option, you will not be prompted for login details next time you log in.

Logging in to GateKeeper for the first time.

  1. Open GateKeeper.
  2. Make sure Administrator is entered in the Username box.
  3. Leave the password blank and click OK.
  4. You will be warned that no password has been set , and will prompted to change your password.
  5. Change your password in the Password dialog.
  6. You should now be logged into GateKeeper as Administrator.

Note:

If the Use Operating System(Windows) database option is selected in the installation, then you will not be asked to change your password. In this case logging on with the user Administrator for the first time should be with the relevant NT/Operating System password for Administrator.
