Path to log files

Internet Access Monitor for Novell BorderManager searches for log files of the *.log type.
Usually, Novell BorderManager stores its log files in DATA:\Etc\Proxy\Log\Http\Common.

Configuring Novell BorderManager

The Novell BorderManager HTTP Proxy maintains three types of log files:

  • Common Log
  • Extended Log
  • Indexed Log

In general, the common log format provides sufficient information for analysis of outgoing proxy activity.

To make Novell BorderManager and Internet Access Monitor run in a bundle, configure the programs as follows:

Enabling the Common Log
The Common Log is enabled by checking the "Common" Loggin Format option on the "Logging" tab of the Application Proxy configuration screen, as shown on the screenshot. This dialog box is reached in the NetWare Administrator(NWAdmin) utility via the BorderManager Setup tab from the BorderManager server object.
