Settings. Scheduled Tasks. The "Generating report" task
The "Generating report" task allows you to configure Internet Access Monitor and Mail Access Monitor for automatic report generation and delivery to the recipients.
How this works?
The reports are automatically generated using the previously defined report templates (see the "Report templates" chapter). Therefore, you are required to create all the necessary templates before adding a "Generating report" task in the task manager. Next:
- In the task manager, add a new task and select "Generating report" for the task type.
- On the template list, mark the templates you want to use for generating reports. You may edit settings for each of the selected templates by clicking on the "Settings" button.

- Select the way of reports delivery.

- Specify the period of time the reports should be generated for. The following events can be used for marking the beginning and the end of the report period:
- Task start date- uses the date when the "Generating report task" was started.
- Beginning/End of previous week- uses the date of beginning or end of the prevous week when the task was started.
- Beginning/End of current week- uses the date of beginning or end of the week when the task was started.
- Beginning/End of previous month- uses the date of beginning or end of the prevous month when the task was started.
- Beginning/End of current month- uses the date of beginning or end of the month when the task was started.
- Beginning/End of current year- uses the date of beginning or end of the year the task was started.
- Use template's settings- uses the date specified on the "Reports" tab when saving the template to disk.
- Specific date- the date will be manually specified by user.

- Define other options and save the task.
When these steps are completed, the report generation task will be launched using the specified time period and report templates.
