Settings. Scheduled Tasks
Internet Access Monitor and Mail Access Monitor may run in two modes:
- regular mode - the default mode the program runs when started normally;
- packet mode - the program automatically runs the specified tasks while you are away from the computer.
Scheduled Tasks provides convenient tools for managing the list of tasks to execute in the packet mode. These tools include: adding a new job, editing an existing job's parameters, deleting, executing or pausing a job. To properly run the task scheduler it is required to make sure your computer has a properly installed and running Windows Scheduler service. (Computers running under Windows NT4 require installing SP6.)
Convenient and easy-to-use assistant will help you add a new task quickly. Presently, you can assign the following tasks to run automatically:
- importing log files - importing your proxy server (or your mail server) log files;
- generating reports - generating reports and delivering them to the specified recipients (saving to disk, printing, sending via e-mail);
- resolving IP addresses - replacing the visited hostnames of the 66.127.194.52 form into the www.google.com form.
- command line - launching an external application at a specific time.
