Settings. Import Log Files. IP Addresses Conversion.

In the log files, you may often see visited site's addresses printed in an unusual way: for example, instead of http://www.google.com you may see 66.127.194.52 - the site's IP address. Obviously, we are more used to seeing site addresses the first way described. The procedure of resolving IP addresses converts IP addresses into the sites' alphanumeric names.

To properly convert IP addresses into their alphanumeric domain names, you should specify a correct DNS server's IP address and number of simultaneous DNS requests. This server will service the requests for resolving IP addresses. When you open the settings dialog, the program will automatically extract the list of available DNS servers from your computer's registry, so you may select a server from the drop-down menu instead of manually typing it in. Should you want to use a different server, simply edit its address in the appropriate text box.

Enable automatic IP addresses conversion - if this option is enabled, the program will automatically convert IP address to hostnames during the import process.

DNS server - DNS server address field.

Number of simultaneous DNS request - maximum number of simultaneous requests to DNS server.

Max request execution time, sec - if DNS request's execution time exceeds this value, it will be interrupted.

Reverse Lookup (IP -> Host Name) - the program will convert IP addresses to host names.

Contry recongnition (Host Name -> IP address -> Country) - the program will try to recognize country, in which a visited host located. First of all, the program converts host name to IP address(Forward Lookup) and then, using returned value, it will try to recognize a host's country.
