Advanced settings. Countries
During the import process(and during IP resolving process) the requests are associated with a country of visited host.
The association is carried out as follows: the visited host's IP address is sequentially compared to each item on the "IP ranges" list; when the first match occurs, the request is associated with the country it matched.
This page lists all countries registered in the program. You may add, delete or edit countries here. To rename a country or to edit list of IP ranges matching the country, click on the "Edit item" button.
In the appeared dialog, you may edit the country name, delete any item from the list of IP ranges or add a new item to the list. There are three ways to add a IP range: by typing starting and ending IP addresses, by typing starting IP address and subnet mask(for example, 255.255.255.0), by typing starting IP address and numeric subnet mask(for examples, 28). Also you may load the list of IP ranges from text file by pressing "Load" button.
Deleting countries
It may happen that you will want to delete a country, which is already in use in the database; i.e. some records in the database may be associated with the country being deleted. In such case, when you try to delete the country, the program will prompt you to confirm the deletion. If you confirm the action and do delete the country - the reports will have the default "Deleted" country set by the request instead of the country you have deleted.
