Advanced settings. Host categories
During the import process, the requested hostnames are associated with categories (chat, news, ads, etc.).
The association is carried out as follows: the request is sequentially compared to each item on the "Host categories" list; when the first match occurs, the request is associated with the category it matched.
This page lists host categories registered in the program. You may add, delete or edit host categories here. To rename a category or the list of string masks matching the category, click on the "Edit item" button.
In the appeared dialog, you may edit the category's name, delete any item from the mask list or add a new item to the list.
Host categories exceptions
Sometimes in hostnames is there are a words, using which the program associate this hostname with some category. But if this hostname should no belong to this category, you need to configure the list of category exceptions. To do that you need to select the "Exceptions" tab and fill in the list of exceptions.
Deleting host categories
It may happen that you will want to delete a host category, which is already in use in the database; i.e. some records in the database may be associated with the host category being deleted. In such case, when you try to delete the category, the program will prompt you to confirm the deletion. If you confirm the action and do delete the category - the reports will have the default "Deleted" category set by the request instead of the host category you have deleted.
