Final Internet Access Monitor 3.0 and Mail Access Monitor 3.0 just released
Changes(versus 2.7d):
- Internet Access Monitor for ISA Server: For ISA Server 2004, a feature of generating reports on values of the Rule field was added
- Now the program checks if there is a second running copy of the program
- The bug connected with fonts was fixed in the calendar
- Mail Access Monitor for SendMail: support of a new type of log file was added
- A feature of using the Ctrl+Enter key combination for going to a site specified in the “Address” column was added in the log
- Support of wildcards (* and ?) in creating reports on hosts was added
- A legend was added in the diagram
- The bug that made the third filter in user reports work incorrectly was fixed
- Mail Access Monitor for Exchange: the bug of processing Exchange 5.5 log files was fixed

- The error that sometimes appeared when reports were sent by e-mail was fixed

- Internet Access Monitor for WinGate: The bug in import of log files of POP3 Proxy Server was fixed
- Mail Access Monitor for Qmail: support of a new type of log file was added
- Internet Access Monitor: added a feature of saving the full URL and not just the host name to the database . Attention! Database size and reports generation speed may increase significally if this feature is enabled.
- Internet Access Monitor: a new report “By requests” (By URL) was added
- Internet Access Monitor for ISA Server: fixed an infrequent but very serious bug in processing log files of W3C Extended Log Format; this bug made traffic considerably increase
- A feature of specifying time additionally in the date field was added
- A feature of reassigning values of some fields using the context menu was added in all programs in the Log. You can reset values for a certain record or for a set of selected records.
- Internet Access Monitor for WinGate: fixed the error of incorrect traffic calculation
- Internet Access Monitor, Mail Access Monitor: the dialog box where you clear database tables was modified. Now you can delete all records imported from a certain log file. The algorithm used before was also modified: now if you delete all records imported from a certain log file from the database, information about the log file itself will also be deleted. Therefore, multiple deletion of records and repeated import of log files becomes possible. If not all records imported from a log file were deleted, import from this file will not be performed again
- Added a feature of choosing the report style: Flat or Hierarchical. When you use the Hierarchical style you can form complicated analytical samplings.
- Added a feature of changing the sequence order for sections when you generate main reports.
- Report on sessions:
- the error of negative session duration was fixed.
- a new column named “Number of queries” was added
- a summaryline containing the sum total of session durations and the total number of queries was added.
- the bug that caused incorrect showing of session duration was fixed
- now the report is formed much faster
- A feature of quick search of a selected host in the log was added in reports
- Mail Access Monitor for Kerio MailServer: the "Log files management” tab that allows managing out-of-date log files was added in the settings
- Internet Access Monitor: A feature of adding exceptions lists for data types, host categories and color groups was added in the advanced settings. It allows the program to configure the algorithms of distribution of users by categories, data types, etc. more precisely.
- Internet Access Monitor for Novell Border Manager:support of a new log file format was added
- Internet Access Monitor: added a feature of automatic conversion of IP addresses of visited hosts to domain names during log file import
- New templates were added to the list of available templates($YYYY$, $MMMM$ etc) in the file name where the file will be saved when the task of report generation is performed according to the scheduler. See the documentation for more information
- Mail Access Monitor: A version for Novell GroupWise was added
- Mail Access Monitor: A version for Exim Mail Server was added
- Added a feature of setting the number of characters in the fractional part of the traffic count
- Mail Access Monitor for PostFix: A feature of excluding messages with certain values of the Relay parameter was added in the exclusion rules. This function allows excluding the frequent problem of traffic doubling
- The “Password Confirmation” field was added in the scheduler to exclude the situation when a password is entered incorrectly
- Internet Access Monitor for ISA, for MS Proxy: added a feature of filtering the log and generating reports by the source of the object (Upstream, Inet, Cache, etc.)
- Internet Access Monitor for ISA: Fixed the bug of incorrect determination of the country when you process log files in MSDE format
- Internet Access Monitor for ISA, Internet Access Monitor for MS Proxy, Internet Access Monitor for WinProxy: The “Skip traffic received from cache” checkbox was removed from the data source settings; in the Exclusion Rules it was replaced with the “Object Sources” tab where you can name all values that shouldn’t be taken into account during import of log files. Attention! If you install new version over current installation, you must configure the "Object Sources" list before next import process. You need to add the following items in the list: NotModifed and *Cache*
- Internet Access Monitor for ISA: Fixed the bug that sometimes caused incorrect determination of traffic direction when log files of ISA 2004 were processed
- Added new button on reports toolbar: "Change Report Style: Flat/Hierarchical"
- Added french resource file
- Fixed a lot of small bugs
Upgrade instructions:
- Due to the built-in autoupdate mechanism, in case you install the program above the current version, it will automatically convert the database into the new format, update user defined reports, report templates and so on. But, it's recommended to copy the entire program directory before updating the program. Besides, before you import log files each time, it is highly recommended to look through all new import parameters, changes in the algorithms of exception rules and make the corresponding changes in the configuration if necessary.
